The pipe master is
"the" event in surfing and is generally held in December.
Event is held at pipeline when conditions are met which is a west-northwest
swell in the 6-10ft range.
Big wave surfing event held at waimea
bay. Only held when waves are minimum 20ft so this event does and
doesn't happen every year. I will post a note here if the event
looks like a go. Holding period is December 2 through February 28,
2006.

swell on the menu for southern shores.
a new
south swell will start to fill in along the southern shores late tonight
into tuesday. recent buoy reports are indicating that the bulk of the
south swell has yet to arrive, however looking at the tow session sized
surf from tahiti, it will only be a matter of time. with 18ft surf in
tahiti hawaii should see this swell pesk out near 6ft on the sets local
scale style.
look
for a building swell starting tuesday all day with large surf by night
fall complete with solid 5ft waves at many spots. certain wave refracting
reefs should see 6ft sets here and there on wednesday.
